FAQ

When should I book my newborn session?

Most families book during their second trimester to ensure availability around their due date.

Babies don’t always arrive on schedule, and that’s completely okay. I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so I can adjust based on when your baby is actually born.

Once your baby arrives, you’ll reach out and we’ll choose a date within the first 1–2 weeks, when babies are still very sleepy and settling into those early days.

Which type of newborn session is best for us?

I can help you decide what fits your family best, whether that’s a studio session, an in-home session, or a Fresh 48 session.

Studio sessions are simple and softly styled, while in-home sessions focus more on natural connection in your own space. Fresh 48 sessions take place shortly after birth and are more documentary in style.

The goal is to choose what feels most natural for you and the kind of images you’re drawn to.

What is a Fresh 48 session?

A Fresh 48 session takes place within the first couple days after your baby is born, at the hospital.

These sessions are more documentary in style, focusing on those very first moments and the connection between you and your baby, including siblings meeting them for the first time.

If you’re drawn to something natural and unposed in those early hours, this can be a beautiful option alongside a studio or in-home session.

What do I need to bring to the session?

You’ll want to bring the essentials your baby may need, like diapers, wipes, a pacifier, and extra milk or formula if needed.

For parents, I recommend choosing simple, neutral outfits that photograph well and feel comfortable for you. I’ll guide you ahead of time so everything feels cohesive without being overcomplicated.

I keep styling for baby minimal and timeless, with wraps and a few classic pieces available, so you can arrive feeling prepared but not overwhelmed.

How long does a newborn session take?

Newborn sessions are calm and baby-led, typically lasting 1.5 to 3 hours.

There’s plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, and settling so everything feels relaxed and never rushed.

How much do newborn photos cost?

I’ll send over full pricing and session details once you inquire, so you have everything clearly laid out.

Collections are designed to be simple and flexible, with options that fit different needs.
